Centroplan, a photovoltaic company in Barcelona, came to us after several months of unsuccessful searching for an on-site project manager. The problem was twofold: many candidates lacked specific photovoltaic experience, and the ones who had it did not match the conditions on offer. In 48 days we filled the role with someone aligned on experience, motivation and expectations.
Happy with the result, they handed us a harder brief: a specialist electrician, a role we had not worked on before. Availability and salary were the obstacles, as most candidates ruled the project out because it required five days a week on site. After an exhaustive search we closed that vacancy in 57 days.
Finally they asked for support with something more strategic: a sales assistant reporting directly to the CEO of the Spanish subsidiary, involved in event management and supporting the CRM. That search took 29 days.
Three searches in a market with very few available candidates, 8, 6 and 2 respectively. Every shortlisted candidate was interviewed by the company, and the average time to start date was 40 days.
The case is a fair picture of how we work in complex, highly specialised sectors.
