EvCharge

Building a fully remote team without giving up on technical or human fit

Five key hires across different stages of their growth. We are still their hiring partner today.

remote hires from 35 candidates

EVcharge is a software platform that centralises the management of electric vehicle charging points, adaptable to any business model. It is part of Etecnic, a Spanish leader in electric mobility installations.

When we first spoke, they had been working with a recruiter who was not a technical specialist, so the profiles were never quite right. On top of that, their head office is in Reus and they needed senior people, which makes hiring near the HQ considerably harder.

So we built a remote search strategy, looking for candidates who were happy to travel to team-building events a few times a year so that everyone met face to face. It worked: in a short space of time they hired three people, a full-stack engineer with Ruby on Rails, a frontend engineer with React, and a DevOps engineer with AWS.

That was not the end of it. A year later they had closed new clients and the team needed to keep pace with the company, so two more hires followed. To date we have presented 35 candidates to them, five of whom became hires.

Working with Kulturo has been an excellent experience. Every search has been quick and smooth, with constant, close communication both with their team and with candidates. What stands out most is how precisely the profiles have matched our roles: every candidate met the specific technical requirements, however complex, and integrated well with the team on a human level. We care a lot about that, and with Kulturo we know they understand it and look for it as if they were part of our own team. They are our trusted partner for continuing to grow.
