Nester is a Barcelona startup with a SaaS product in proptech. We started working with them in July 2025, at a key moment in how the company was organised internally.
One of the technical co-founders wanted to go back to what he actually enjoyed: development and building product. That left a leadership gap in an engineering team of nine, split between Barcelona and remote. They needed someone who could take on managing the team without dropping a very high technical standard.
The brief was clear: a solid development background, real leadership ability, and cultural fit in a startup that was growing fast.
We presented several candidates and, after a careful process weighted equally towards technical and human fit, closed their new engineering manager in 46 days.
Several months in, the team is very happy with the impact, both on how the team is growing and on the stability of the technical work.
A few months after joining he took on technical leadership of the whole company: he is now Néster's CTO.
