We started working with Qamarero in December 2025. The company, based in Seville, had already established itself as restaurant software in Spain and was starting to plan growth into other markets such as France and Italy.
They were looking for product engineers, and the reason had to do with how they understand the work inside the team. Part of their strategy is that a developer should be able to take charge of a large part of the product, an entire module. That rules out plenty of people who are technically fine but work better with closed tasks and context already chewed over for them.
What they needed was high ownership, real ease communicating with customers, and the ability to execute and iterate quickly on the feedback that comes back. A technical profile, but with product judgement.
The second role was also a product engineer, with an added AI component, because they were planning to start building it into the product.
Both joined during January. From signing the agreement to joining took 40 days in both cases.
During the second quarter of 2026 we helped them bring in a third product engineer, and the plan is to keep working alongside them as they grow.
